A double bill: Chiharu Kuronuma & Teruki OKAMOTO
Kuronuma is known as both a choreographer and a calligrapher. She developed a theoretical framework for integrating 2D calligraphy into a 3D bodily expression by employing aspects of the Laban Movement Analysis. Okamoto is a juggler and choreographer and was awarded in an international competition.
He has been working on the discovery of the "Principle of Motion" through his juggling perspective. Both use choreography as part of a research process that unites dance with another perspective.
振付家２人によるダブルビル公演。
書道の師範でもある黒沼千春はダンスと書道のより深い次元での融合を目指し、ジャグリング国際大会入賞者でもある岡本晃樹はジャグリングに培われた視点でものと体の間の運動原理を取り出そうとする。共通するのはダンスと異なる視点を融合させる研究の過程として振付作品を制作していることだ。
今回は現場での上演を前提とした作品と、オンライン配信を前提とした作品の２本ずつを上演する。
点 x 線 | Dots x Lines
書道とダンスを同時に行うということではなく、"融合"させるためにはどうしたらいいか、という研究を2014年より英国ではじめ、2015年、いかに2Dである書道を3Dである身体表現に組み込むことが出来るかの理論を「ラバン身体動作表現理論」を元に作り上げる。2019年11月に台湾の台東で旗揚げをした本作は、発表と改良を繰り返した第5作目となる。
I had been thinking about how to not merely do calligraphy and dance simultaneously, but how to fuse the two together. So, in 2014, in order to externalize this internal mystery, I began doing research in England. In 2015, I developed a theoretical framework for how to integrate 2D calligraphy into 3D bodily expression, drawing on Laban Movement Analysis. Originally created in Taitung Taiwan in November of 2019, this performance makes use of a gallery space to push the fusion of calligraphy and dance further than ever before.

コロナ禍において増えた思索の時間で、私がずっと考えていたのはものと人間の身体の間に発生するシンプルで論理的なエネルギーの秩序。それを見つめることこそが身体の必要性を取り戻し、情報の激流の中で疲弊する人間の心を癒すのだと思い至った。人間の動きは自我も自意識もなく現象でしかないことを思い出すために。そのエネルギーの動きの可視化を試みたものが今回の2作品である。
